3354 Diode Bridge Compressor

Punch and Clarity with a new level of control

Oldschool weight - modern mind

Designed completely from scratch for the BBC in the 70ies, these units are still highly sought after - for good reason. No other gain reduction circuit offered that much control and precision, while keeping transients intact and pushing things forward in a musical sense.

We kept the original signal path intact while adding flexible attack and release times, a variable ratio and a blend control for parallel processing.

"Since i got mine, this thing lives on my drum bus. On EVERY mix. Just listen... what else would you have on the drum bus?", to quote a famous engineer.

Iron all the way

The crucial part in a diode bridge compressor is the transformer stages, making sure your signal stays unimpaired so the diodes can do their magic. No less than 3 custom made transformers from UTM industry are perfect for the job!

No Limits

We got rid of the limiter section, but upgraded the compressor to offer all the controls that modern workflows demand - including flexible attack/release controls, a non-stepped ratio and a switchable blend control for parallel processing.

Externalize

Have your music pump to the kickdrum? Switch the sidechain to the external 1/4" input, or switch it off completely to get that iron sound without compression!
Dual colour status LEDs and beautiful backlit meters show you exactly what you're doing.
