Matched for perfection
The 836C comes with two Sylvania 6BC8 NOS tubes that we match by hand for equal gain and compression curves. Never has it been easier to adjust your in- and out levels for perfect stereo balance!
Oldschool meets..
The tube stage is accompanied by two UTM transformers to ensure the original signal path is kept where it really matters.
This synergy guarantees the bass response, phase coherency and mid frequency push that we love in VariMu compressors

The original unit lacked controls that we consider mandatory for modern music production - flexible attack times, sidechain hipass filters to prevent pumping and a 1:1 ratio for true tube sound with no compression
Unlink. Unchain. Your Mix.
LINK puts the 836C in precise stereo compression mode, with only the left sidechain control in action.
However, once you found your settings, replicate them on the right channel, and finally UNLINK the compressors. We promise, never before has your mix stopped sounding like a mix and started to sound like a song!
